Kansas Community Services Block Grant

 

 

KHRC has scheduled two public hearings to receive comments on the Kansas
Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) State Plan for federal fiscal year 2020.
The first public hearing will be held on August 6th at 9:00am (CDT) at the Avondale East Community Center, 455 SE Golf Park Blvd, Topeka, KS 66605. The draft of the FY2020 CSBG State Plan will be presented for public input.
The second public hearing will be held on August 20th at 2:00pm at the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation, 611 S. Kansas Avenue, suite 300, Topeka, Kansas 66603-3803. The final FY2020 CSBG State Plan will be presented for public comment.
The state plan will be available for public inspection on or about August 13, 2019, at www.kshousingcorp.org/community-services.aspx. A paper copy can be obtained by calling (800) 752-4422.
Individuals needing special accommodations to attend the hearing should contact the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation at (785) 217-2001 at least five business days in advance of the hearings. Written comments regarding the Plan will be accepted through August 20, 2019 and should be addressed to Hugh Poole, CSBG Program Manager, Kansas Housing Resources Corporation, 611 S. Notice of Housing Needs Public Hearing for the

2020 Kansas Consolidated Plan


The State of Kansas will conduct a public hearing on housing needs and issues for citizens to have input into the development of the 2020 Kansas Consolidated Plan.  The Consolidated Plan is the state‚Äôs policy framework for federal community development and housing programs.

Resources available in 2020 are approximately $14,885,822 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $5,802,824 from HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), $3,000,000 from National Housing Trust Fund (HTF), $1,607,182 from the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and $572,576 from Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.

Individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency are welcome to attend and participate in the public hearing.  If you are in need of a sign language interpreter, an assistive listening device, large print, Braille material, or other accommodation to attend this meeting, please notify KHRC at least five days prior to the meeting.
